There are two types of BMX chain available on the market at the minute. The first is your traditional Full Link cycle chain. In essence this is a similar chain to what you would expect to find on any bicycle. BMX chains though tend to be slightly wider and stronger than you average cycling chain. When we say Full Link, what we mean is that one link consists of an inner section and an outer section, this makes up one link.
The second type of BMX chain is Half Link. As you can imagine by the name the only difference with a half link chain is instead of having an inner and an outer making up one link the two are combined. Thus making every link in the chain shorter meaning they are much better for getting that perfect fit on your bike.
